cflute	11:50p	snow-bound? Last Friday (yes, Dec 25th aka Christmas in some parts), we took the Duchess and the Little Guy up to Snoqualmie to play in the snow. While they did have some fun, the festivities were a bit hampered by lack of good (pullable) sleds and warm enough clothing. I made a successful thrift store raid this weekend, and there's now proper snow gear for the young'uns that should keep them cozy even in 20F (-4C) plus wind chill. Plus I found a purple plastic toboggan at Bartells, which will fit both kids and is pull-able. So now we're "good to go" - at least, I think so. But the only way I can really verify this is to test it empiricially, like scientists are wont to do. So... we're gonna try it again later this week, either Wednesday (12/30) or Thursday (12/31). pocketnaomi had fun last time but isn't up for another trek so soon. Thus I'm throwing it open to folks here: if you're interested in a snow trek with me and two incredibly cute, chattery munchkins, please SPEAK UP! cflute	6:00p	note to self Next time you're felting, try turning the washing machine into a felting machine the first time, okay? And when you've done the cold/hot hose swap (so that the "cold/cold" on the machine actually runs hot/hot, and doesn't "shock" the fabric by changing temperature halfway through the process), do remember to turn the taps back on. cflute	1:02p	since you asked... Based on my commenting on her "resistance meme" journal entry, the lovely and talented phoenixpdx responded with several interesting questions, a month or so back. Such as: 1. When did you first get involved in filk? How did that happen? 2. What's your favorite favorite FAVORITE food? 3. Can you ride a bicycle? When was the last time you did? 4. If you had no constraints at all (not money, time, energy, etc), what would you do with your time? 5. Tell me a funny anecdote about one (or both) of the children, please?
